1 Open and start an RCA

From Free Tools, open RCA Tool. Create a new analysis or click Load demo sample (Wire Settlement Delay) to explore a complete example.

2 Define the problem

On Problem, name the RCA, set status/owner/tags, and write a problem statement that includes impact and context. The sidebar shows completion % as you progress.

3 Rank with Pareto

Add causes with frequency and impact (1–10). Bars highlight the vital few so the room focuses effort.

4 Capture causes on the Fishbone (6M)

Use Man, Machine, Material, Method, Measurement, and Environment categories. Aim for several solid causes — the progress tracker expects at least three.

5 Drill with 5 Whys

6 Report, countermeasures, and export

On Report, add prioritized countermeasures and an action plan. Download Markdown, use Print / Save as PDF, or Export JSON from the top bar to keep a portable file.

  • Data for this free web edition lives in your browser — always export JSON for archive or handoff.
  • A full Streamlit desktop workbench also exists for local folder-based RCAs; contact Aruvi if you need that packaging tailored.
  • Pair RCA findings with the free Project Tool for delivery plans and Process Map Studio for process fixes.

Security & privacy

RCA content stays in this browser until you export. Nothing is uploaded to Aruvi servers for storage. Treat exported JSON and Markdown as confidential investigation material. See Free Tools for the full note.
